We are the bridge.
USA Hope Foundation was built on one observation: in a housing crisis, the gap between "we need a room tonight" and "there is a room tonight" is often just a phone call. We made ourselves that phone call.
USA Hope's capability to provide emergency disaster housing for hospitals, FEMA, and government agencies
We are a California nonprofit operating four specialized hotel-based housing programs — for domestic violence survivors and their children, homeless veterans, families with children, and transitional age youth. We work exclusively through authorized partner referrals. Every client we house was placed by an agency, case manager, or service provider who already knows them and has funding in place.

How we started
USA Hope Foundation was founded on a clear-eyed view of what the housing crisis looks like in practice. When a case manager calls on a Friday afternoon for a family that just lost their housing, the traditional shelter system often cannot help. Waitlists. Capacity limits. Congregate settings that are not safe
for a DV survivor. Intake processes that take days.
We built a different kind of organization — one designed to move at the speed of a crisis. By partnering directly with hotel and motel owners across California, pre-negotiating nightly rates, and creating a simple referral process, we made a room within reach of any authorized agency at any hour.
Our clients are referred by the agencies and case managers who know them best. We provide the room. They provide the relationship. Together, we provide the bridge.

We built USA Hope Foundation for that moment.
When you refer a client to us, you are not sending them to a waitlist. You are sending them to a room. We match your client to an available, inspected hotel or motel room
based on their needs — ADA accessibility, household size, location, pet-friendliness, funding authorization — and we confirm placement within hours.
Homelessness in California is not a shortage of compassion. It is a shortage of rooms available at the right moment. We are in the business of making rooms available when the moment arrives.
Safe, inspected, and ready.
Every property in the USA Hope Foundation network goes through an inspection process before the first client placement. We use a detailed room inspection form covering general room condition, plumbing, electrical and safety systems, bedding and furnishings, and appliances — and we re- inspect as needed throughout the partnership.
Our inventory includes 1-bed and 2-bed units, ADA accessible rooms, ground-floor options, pet- friendly properties, and family-friendly rooms with double queens and adjoining suites. Properties are located across California, with concentrations in the regions where our partner agencies operate.
